Onion Dreaming, Rayon
$9.39
This Australian abooriginal print was created by Doris Inkamala for M & S Textiles. It is 100% rayon and has a soft hand with beautiful drape. Rayon can be machine washed in cold water and should be machine dried low temperature. Rayon weakens when wet so hang drying is not recommended. 55-56" wide, great for clothing.
The bush onion is an important source of food for aboriginal Australians. The onions grow around water holes. In aboriginal paintings, the water holes are depicted in the center circle. The onion plants are the dots around the center. Knowing this helped me understand the naming of the fabric
