As a young girl, doll fashion was extremely important to Dana, and she had to make sure that her doll was the best dressed on the block. This launched Dana's interest in sewing and clothing design.
Shelly began sewing in 4-H club and competed in the Weld County Fair for eight years.
For many years, Shelly and Dana owned and operated a window covering business and after realizing their larger love for providing quality sewing products, decided to open Sew Downtown.
It was the call to share their love and passion for creating and sewing that drove Shelly and Dana to put their Sew Downtown dream together. By opening Sew Downtown, it has allowed them to share their passion with like minded people and provide the opportunity to teach others of this important craft.
The customer service, innovation, and passion that both Floriani and Baby Lock represented aligned perfectly with what Sew Downtown is all about.
Over the years, Sew Downtown has evolved into a company that is much more than a store. It is a community of people who can come together and share their ideas and passions for sewing while creating friendships, learning, and passing on the love of sewing.
