Matelasse Diamond Knit

Attractive and durable, Matelassé is a weaving or stitching technique yielding a pattern that appears quilted or padded. Matelassé may be achieved by hand, on a jacquard loom, or a quilting machine. It is meant to mimic the style of hand-stitched quilts made in Marseilles, France. This piece has a 3/4 inch diamond pattern, white knit on both sides with a thin polyester batting between the layers. Use it as is or dye it to the color you need, it's prepared for dying. Great for bedding, home decor or clothing (I'm planning on a sweatshirt). Contents: 60% BCI COMBED COTTON 40% POLYESTER Width: 66'' wide Weight: 8.85 oz. per square yard. OEKO TEX certified.
