Welcome to the world of Peter Rabbit. Once upon a time there were four little rabbits and their names were: Flopsy, Mopsy, Cotton-Tail and Peter. The Tale of Peter Rabbit by Beatrix Potter, 1902. The tale of PeterRabbit first appeared in a picture letter written by Beatrix Potter in 1893 to a young family friend. It was published in a book in 1902 by Frederick Warne. Twenty-two other beautifully illustrated books followed introducing a host of unforgettable characters such as Benjamin Bunny, Squirrel Nutkin, Jemima Puddle Duck and many others, all drawn from real animals.
