The first session of this class will be dedicated to determining the right size, advice on tracing the pattern, fabric selection and other considerations when sewing with knits, no machines will be needed. Atendees will go home prepared to trace their pattern and cut out their shirt. The second session will be sewing the shirt together. While sergers are perfect for sewing knits, it can be done on a domestic sewing machine too so if you have a serger, bring it to the second session, if not, bring your machine. We will also discuss ways to use this basic pattern and customize it to your personal style. Supplies should be purchased after the first session and will include: pattern, fabric, thread, stretch needles and twin needle (if using sewing machine).
